First Aid

If you find yourself with a cut, a scrape, a bruise, or a wound of any sort...please do not seek me out. My stall at the Tea Rooms may have a rather impressive collection of First Aid kits, bandages, and various lotions and potions, but they're all rather, erm, old. Strictly for display, or to frighten off some squeamish friends.

Cards

The last couple of weekends have seen a flurry of activity, lots of paper scraps and bits of glue flying about, and some papercuts sustained in the process. And this is the result of all that. One-of-a-kind, handmade cards, which will be available, as usual, at the Tea Rooms stall. Feast your eyes.

Some Cards

When it gets quiet at the Tea Rooms, out come my scissors and glue for a bit of cut-and-paste action.

Folksy Summer

Good morning, world! I was just browsing Folksy when I realised that something on the front page looked very familiar - it took me about 5 seconds to realise that my navy blue Amelia bloomers had snuck in an appearance too! Those of you on Pinterest can see it over here too - Folksy Summer.

Short Shorts

Is it still too cold for shorts? It seems like Spring may never arrive at this rate, but I'm still optimistic and have churned out a number of shorts in brighter shades (that orange isn't really so fluoro in real life, the camera makes it look exceptionally vibrant for some reason). I'm sure I've seen several hipsters hobbling down Brick Lane in recent weeks sporting tiny cut-offs over thick tights in recent weeks anyway.

Those two in the pictures above will make an appearance in the Etsy and Folksy shops - just as soon as I get to cutting out and sewing another pair. The ones up there are available in the Tea Rooms in a size M, and I've got enough to make a few more pairs of each. The blue border print pair below is a one-off in size S, made with the last bits of fabric from the HUGE vintage kaftan that was used to make the cushions in this post. Always match your clothing to your soft furnishings, that's what I say!
In one more bit of shop news...I've finally caved in and joined Twitter! You can find me over there under @BobbieandLola, and I believe I've added a button on the right for you to click on to. Join me, I'm lonely!

Stall Stuff

Change is afoot at the Tea Rooms stall...Former stall partner Rory is now off to greener (and much better paying pastures), and I have partnered up with a fishy little purveyor of Toot. Come and check out the new layout (in the same old space) if you're in town.
Old ladies, horses with broken legs and naked men with half an arm -we've got them all!
A naughty alphabet - avert your eyes, children!
We also have an occasional inhouse tarot reader, who comes with a set of cards she designed herself. What clever people!

Last Minute

Still rushing around desperately looking for Christmas presents? Come down to the Tea Rooms this weekend, where the cushions pictured above, as well as other vintage and handmade items, will be available for sale! The cushions are made with vintage or unwanted fabrics, and come in two sizes. See you there!

More Cards

A few new handmade cards - some vaguely Christmas-themed - are now available at my Tea Rooms stall from this weekend onwards. If you're interested in one but can't get to Brick Lane, send me an email and I'll try to reserve it for you.
