Liesl: Solar dyeing easy - just put some dyestuff (flowers, leaves etc) into a jar, add your fabric or yarn, then pour boiling water in and leave it in a sunny place for a few days. You're using the sun's heat to warm things up, so it's much more energy efficient than dyeing something on a stove or in a machine :)
Oooh - I've never heard of solar dying before. Those pastries, on the other hand, are something I am very well acquainted with!
